If ever you needed a timewaster, procrastination strategy, or just a good laugh or “wow” moment, this is the site. It’s like the Tree of Knowledge, almost. There are so many things out there that we don’t know, but using stumbleupon has enlightened me in so many different ways. I realize now that before this site I was naked; and though I am presently clothed, I still carry shame and humiliation in remembering the times when I was naked and knew not.

SURE, that metaphor was cheesy and dumb, but this ain’t yo kitchen, nor is it yo momma’s, it’s MINE. So if you don’t like it, peace out, girl scout.

Anyways, I was stumbling a few nights ago, and I came across this article from mailonline.com, titled “Is this why we send them to University? Outrage as gay man and straight woman get married…for degree art project”. The title intrigued me, so I read further and… yup, these kids got legitimately married for an art project, and people in the community aren’t taking it too well. While the two see this marriage as more of a unity of art and their personal artistic abilities (both are students of the Fine Arts at the University of Worchester), many people feel, as they are rightfully entitled to feel, that this is a travesty against the institution of marriage.

While I don’t begrudge people for having an opinion, I’ve had enough of this argument about marriage. Marriage is not a force of nature. If you “tamper” with it, the world will not stop, lives will not end, and nothing will change in the grand scheme of things. It is a man-made tradition, and therefore should be available to be enjoyed by all of humanity, if all men are really created equal. So why is it such a big deal to Joe Blow if Jack and Jill want to get married. It doesn’t invalidate marriage, it simply broadens the spectrum; and it has NO affect on individual marriages. George and Laura Bush are no less married, unified and in love if Jack likes it enough to put a ring on it. So why the monopoly on marriage? Two men can’t marry, two women can’t marry, and now apparently two individuals of the opposite sex but differing orientations cannot marry either (although Paul and Nora Cartwright ARE legally married). What happened to sharing the love? And why is it anyone’s business but the people who will be spending the rest of their lives with each other?

But that’s okay Stephen Green of “Christian Voice”. You can have your outdated and stuffy idea of marriage. Just don’t get pissed when a new generation comes in and creates another unifying institution that blows your “Marriage” out of the water!

My only issue is the fact that yet another beautiful man is off the market. C’est la vie.

When I was three years old, I wasn’t able to say the word “three”; instead, I said “free”. One day I was in the park and these girls from the neighborhood (probably in middle or high school) came up to me and asked me how old I was. I told them I was “free” and they laughed at me, and kept asking me. I didn’t understand why they were laughing at me, so I ran off and cried and told my mom.

I think I would really love to visit Spain. I don’t speak the language very well, but I love the culture, and it just seems like a great place to be.
